Belated blog post, but we would love to welcome Reuben as one of our fine guitar teachers, in our Boca Raton store.

Reuben specializes in a wide range of music including reggae, jazz and blues. Rhythmically Soulful and Peaceful defines Reuben.
Paul “Reuben” Drummond hails from a small rural town in Westmoreland, Jamaica called Strathbogie. At age twelve (12) he discovered his gift and affinity for music when he made a guitar from fishing line and a sardine tin before he even knew what a guitar was. Influenced by Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendricks, B.B. King, John Scofield just to name a few; coupled with his over  twenty-five years of living abroad and being exposed to different cultures and sounds, Reuben’s music can only be categorized as eclectic. It fuses Reggae, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz and Rock together and when coupled with his melodious voice, it creates a “treat of sound” for listeners.
Currently Reuben is recording material for his debut album “Mind Over Matter” which is set to be released in June 2010. The album promises to be creative, uplifting and spiritual, as Reuben believes that consciousness should be expressed and shared through his music. He is also convinced that reaching humanity through word, sound and power is a gift which has been bestowed upon him by the Creator and he takes his responsibility seriously.
Reuben has graced many a stages from indoor clubs in Manhattan that seat 100 people to Woodstock Reggae Sunsplash that’s hosts over 5,000 music lovers. Reuben is ready and eager to grace any stage that welcomes him and even some that won’t. He believes in his message and will remain true to it and at the same time wants to educate while entertaining the masses.

We have started our Guitar Lesson Instruction programs, please sign up for your lessons, today by visiting or calling us in our Boca Raton Location.

We have the following classes available for all ages:

Beginner Levels: Children or Adults starting to learn the instrument in various styles. We were all beginners at one point. We know what it takes to get over the learning curve and have crafted courses and lessons for the true beginner. We guide you step by step, from buying a guitar, to holding a pick, all the way through to chords and everything in-between. Enroll in the beginner lessons and you'll be amazed how quickly you'll be making music.

Intermediate Levels: Children or Adults with a good grasp of playing the guitar. At this level, we emphasize and structure our lessons around correct technique in both playing and picking. We also focus on new exercises, while broadening the student’s style base. At this stage, the student’s musical learning revolves around their chosen style and their favorite band’s music.

Intermediate Informal Training Levels: Teenagers with a good grasp of playing the guitar. At this level, we emphasize and structure our lessons around correct technique in both playing and picking with young teachers. We focus on modern playing styles with other young adults. More like a specific jam session training, learning their favorite music and bands without formalized instruction.

Advanced Levels: Children or Adults with a firm grasp of playing the guitar. At this level, we emphasize and structure our lessons around correcting and advancing, the student’s own techniques in both playing and picking. We focus on new exercises, while building a relation with the student’s desires and quests for advancement.

In our Boca Raton Guitar Store, guitar lessons start from $15.00 per lesson for our Summer 2009 Guitar Program.

Extreme Guitars has now opened in Boca Raton, Florida. Located in Mission Bay Plaza (N.E. Corner of Glades Road and State Road 7).

Extreme Guitars specializes in a range of guitars, amps and gear from the beginner guitar player to the upper stratosphere of guitar playing. Over 5,000 square feet of guitars, amps, gear and lesson rooms have been opened to South Florida guitarists of all ages.
