Our new, durable, proprietary, K3™ Technology color coating lasts up to 9 times longer (by factory test) than previous DR color coatings from an outside source. The new durable K3 color coating will NOT strip away, peel, or come off under any playing condition we have put it through in numerous, stressful factory tests. On an 8 pick rotating wheel where one pick strikes the same spot on a string one time per second, the previous coating lasted, at best 20 minutes. The new, durable K3™ coating consistently lasts a minimum of 180 minutes on the pick machine, and will only wear away. After at least 180 minutes of testing there is usually a worn spot, and some dust from the coating and the picks. The durable K3™ coating has not peeled, or stripped away, ever, during our documented and severe factory testing.

As a player of the guitar for over 20 years and a teacher for more than 10 you can bet this guy has plenty of experience. He's been teaching guitar lessons in Boca Raton for the majority of those years as well and loves his job. A huge influence on this guy is Mr. Scary himself. For those of you who don't know, that's George Lynch of Dokken and Lynch Mob! Its not such a big deal that this guy is his biggest influence, as much as it is he plays JUST like him. "What a great day to have a guitar lesson, and is that Matt Stacy"?!
Apparently our new man on the team is renowned for something, but for what? Other than mastering guitar instruction, he has managed to find a way to be a drum instructor, AND a piano instructor. Now that is natural born talent right there! So far with his stay here at Extreme Guitars we've come to a realization. Matt is the man! All of his students so far are super excited and super happy to have this guy as an instructor, and we're proud to have him here doing lessons in Boca Raton
Here is a little bit more about Matt! A.K.A. TIGER!

Matt Stacy was born in 1981 and has been playing guitar since the age of 12. He holds a music degree from Florida Atlantic University where he studied under the direction of Masakuni Okubo. He has played in various rock, punk and jazz bands around Florida most recently being Off the Wagon. At FAU, his major emphasis was commercial music where he studied under the direction of Michael Zager, Stuart Glazer and Alejandro Sanchez. As a composer, he has written and recorded many commercials for FAU, one of which was played in Muvico Theaters.

Belated blog post, but we would love to welcome Reuben as one of our fine Boca Raton guitar teachers, in our West Boca Raton store.

Reuben specializes in a wide range of music including reggae, jazz and blues. Rhythmically Soulful and Peaceful defines Reuben.
Paul “Reuben” Drummond hails from a small rural town in Westmoreland, Jamaica called Strathbogie. At age twelve (12) he discovered his gift and affinity for music when he made a guitar from fishing line and a sardine tin before he even knew what a guitar was. Influenced by Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendricks, B.B. King, John Scofield just to name a few; coupled with his over  twenty-five years of living abroad and being exposed to different cultures and sounds, Reuben’s music can only be categorized as eclectic. It fuses Reggae, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz and Rock together and when coupled with his melodious voice, it creates a “treat of sound” for listeners.
Currently Reuben is recording material for his debut album “Mind Over Matter” which is set to be released in June 2010. The album promises to be creative, uplifting and spiritual, as Reuben believes that consciousness should be expressed and shared through his music. He is also convinced that reaching humanity through word, sound and power is a gift which has been bestowed upon him by the Creator and he takes his responsibility seriously.
Reuben has graced many a stages from indoor clubs in Manhattan that seat 100 people to Woodstock Reggae Sunsplash that’s hosts over 5,000 music lovers. Reuben is ready and eager to grace any stage that welcomes him and even some that won’t. He believes in his message and will remain true to it and at the same time wants to educate while entertaining the masses.

We have started our Guitar Lesson Instruction programs, please sign up for your lessons, today by visiting or calling us in our Boca Raton Location.

We have the following classes available for all ages:

Beginner Levels: Children or Adults starting to learn the instrument in various styles. We were all beginners at one point. We know what it takes to get over the learning curve and have crafted courses and lessons for the true beginner. We guide you step by step, from buying a guitar, to holding a pick, all the way through to chords and everything in-between. Enroll in the beginner lessons and you'll be amazed how quickly you'll be making music.

Intermediate Levels: Children or Adults with a good grasp of playing the guitar. At this level, we emphasize and structure our lessons around correct technique in both playing and picking. We also focus on new exercises, while broadening the student’s style base. At this stage, the student’s musical learning revolves around their chosen style and their favorite band’s music.

Intermediate Informal Training Levels: Teenagers with a good grasp of playing the guitar. At this level, we emphasize and structure our lessons around correct technique in both playing and picking with young teachers. We focus on modern playing styles with other young adults. More like a specific jam session training, learning their favorite music and bands without formalized instruction.

Advanced Levels: Children or Adults with a firm grasp of playing the guitar. At this level, we emphasize and structure our lessons around correcting and advancing, the student’s own techniques in both playing and picking. We focus on new exercises, while building a relation with the student’s desires and quests for advancement.

In our Boca Raton Guitar Store, guitar lessons start from $15.00 per lesson for our Summer 2009 Guitar Program.
